CONFERENCE OF BREXIT AND ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INTEGRATION

Van Hien University organized the Conference of Brexit and ASEAN Economic Community from the Perspective of Integration on 3rd August. This conference aims to offer a forum for researchers, managers, and economic experts to share their points of view and suggest solutions to improve the quality of human resource education that meets the integration requirements.

The conference has received various papers related to Brexit and its influences on the Vietnam economy and the linkage with ASEAN; Brexit and the problems faced by ASEAN Economic Community; Brexit's negative impacts on the Vietnam economy, etc. Besides, a number of presentations have highlighted the problems posed by the development of Vietnamese human resources, the impact of ASEAN Economic Community to human resources, the possibility of integration of Vietnamese accounting human resources in the AEC. In particular, representatives of Van Hien University also offers solutions for high-quality personnel training in tourism from the school to meet the integration needs.

The participants at the conference included various domestic and foreign experts, such as Mr. Truong Dinh Tuyen - former Minister of Trade of Vietnam (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade), Dr. Raymond Gordon - RMIT University Vietnam, and Mr. Fredric William Swierczek - Asian Institute of technology in Vietnam. Together they had different discussions related to the analysis of the impact of Brexit on the economy, the politics, and the integration process to ASEAN Economic Community, especially human resource training in tourism, economics, and accounting to meet the needs of integration.
